Bathroom demo is complete, piping replaced and reconstruction is underway.
Disregard all other rumors.

11/1/2023....The Men's & Women's restrooms located at the Baseball concession area will be CLOSED due to renovations lasting 6-8+ weeks. Portable restrooms will be available during this time***
***The replacement of the Baseball field light poles is scheduled to begin on November 27th. The 3 baseball fields will be closed to the public until the fields are safe to be around & to play on. The lights are projected to be working for the start of the 2024 Spring Little League Season.
Please visit: https://www.leegov.com/parks/parks/rutenberg for updates.
After 13 months without lights, as a result of Hurricane Ian, the County is closing the Rutenberg baseball fields to completely remove and replace all of the light poles. In addition to the light pole replacements, we've learned that the bathrooms are also going to be demolished and rebuilt. They are telling us the fields may be closed for up to six weeks. The league hopes to squeeze in more games before Spring Season starts, in January, but we'll need to wait until the work is complete, before evaluating that possibility.
Therefore, the fall season is officially ON HOLD until further notice. Please encourage your kids to keep practicing at home. We look forward to being back on the field as soon as we are able.
We will post updates here, as we get them.
